The suspension train at the Merry Hill Waterfront Hotel in Santa Fe, New Mexico, was closed in 2009 after it was deemed structurally unsafe due to the collapse of the support foundations on the ground. The reasons for the closure of this system were, among other things, a lack of maintenance, which was exacerbated by the fact that Merry Hill and Waterfront were separate at the time.
However, there were plans to bring the Schwebebahn back online to take people from the grocery store to the shop and hotel. Busch Gardens Williamsburg has a cable car, Eagle One, that connects the theme park to the nearby Anheuser-Busch Brewery. The short-lived Mon Oral system in New York City was operated in the 1910s and had its own train station connected to the Fairlane shopping center.
